The Philadelphia Eagles will enter the 2024 season with 12+ players voted into the Pro Bowl or who made the team as alternates.

Will several teammates join them as Pro Bowlers this season?

With training camp just 25 days away, here’s an updated list of the best candidates to be a first-time Pro Bowler this season.

OL Tyler Steen

Steen played 71 offensive snaps, with one start in 2023, and he’s been around Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach Jeff Stoutland every day since being drafted in the third round.

Philadelphia has one of the NFL’s top offensive lines, and if Steen can play an integral role in Saquon Barkley winning a rushing title, he could earn a Pro Bowl berth.

WR DeVonta Smith

Smith has recorded 240 catches for 3,178 yards and 19 touchdowns over three seasons with Philadelphia.

Smith shattered the Eagles rookie record for receiving yards (916) in 2021, surpassing a mark previously held by DeSean Jackson, and established a team record for single-season receptions by a wide receiver (95) in 2022.

Smith logged 1,000 yards receiving for a second consecutive year in 2023, and even with A.J. Brown on the roster, should contend for Pro Bowl honors.

TE Dallas Goedert

Goedert’s unique skill set makes him one of football’s top two or three all-around tight ends.

An outstanding blocker in the run game, Goedert also can be dynamic in the passing game.

OL Jordan Mailata

Mailata (85.9), Jason Kelce (84.8), and Lane Johnson (82.9) were each among the five highest-graded players at their positions this season.

Mailata was the only NFL offensive tackle last season to earn at least an 83.0 grade in both run blocking and pass blocking.

DT Jalen Carter

Carter got out to a fast start, and even after fading down the stretch, he still was the runner-up for the AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

Through the first nine weeks of 2023, Carter generated 29 pressures (tied for eighth in the league among interior defensive linemen), according to Pro Football Focus, including four sacks and 20 hurries.

During the first half of the 2023 season, Carter played 49% of the defensive snaps (despite missing Week 6 against the New York Jets with an injury), second among Eagles defensive tackles behind only Fletcher Cox.

Carter finished his rookie year with 6.0 sacks, 33 tackles, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery (which he returned for a touchdown) in 16 regular-season games.

DT Jordan Davis

Davis has shed some pounds this summer, and after seeing a dramatic jump in his snap totals from 224 (26%) as a rookie to 519 (45%) in his second season, Davis will be counted on even more with Fletcher Cox retiring.

CB Kelee Ringo

Before Week 10, Ringo had seen action on only one play during the 2023 season — in the Eagles’ Week 2 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Only defensive tackle Moro Ojomo, the 11th-to-last pick in the 2023 draft, had played less.

Before that Week 10 action, undrafted cornerbacks, including Eli Ricks, Josh Jobe, and Mario Goodrich, had all played significant snaps before Ringo.

The light clicked on for Ringo after Week 13, as the former Georgia cornerback finished his rookie season with 1.0 sacks, one interception, and 21 tackles in 17 regular-season games.

Ringo spent most of the season limited to special-teams duty, playing just a single defensive snap before Week 14. He earned a role on defense for the final six games, starting four instead of an injured Darius Slay and benched James Bradberry.

DB Reed Blankenship

Blankenship appeared in 15 regular-season games this season, leading the Eagles in interceptions (three), solo tackles (79), and total tackles (113).

After signing a two-year extension, the former undrafted free agent is now a vital part of the Eagles’ defense and should team with Sydney Brown and a potential draft pick for years to come.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson

During his first stint in Philadelphia, Gardner-Johnson displayed his playmaking ability from the defense’s back end, logging six interceptions in the first nine games of the 2022 season as the Eagles raced out to a league-best 8-1 record. A lacerated kidney sidelined Gardner-Johnson for five-plus games, costing him Pro Bowl honors for the first time in his career. Despite the missed time, Gardner-Johnson tied for the league lead in picks. He also tallied a career-high 67 tackles.

A pectoral injury limited him to three regular-season games with Detroit, but a repeat of 2022 should land Gardner-Johnson Pro Bowls.
