I love a beautiful covered porch, don’t you?
Chris and I always dreamed of having one with the big beautiful white pillars and a porch swing with some rockers.
Before adding the second story to our former home, we considered building one but couldn’t fit it within the setbacks when we designed the addition.
Fast forward 16 years when we moved and we not only have one, but we have two covered porches now!
One is located in the front yard and another is in the backyard.
And I guess you can say we have a third porch as well in the front yard, but it is much smaller and not covered like the other two.
But now that we have these porches?
We are out there all the time!
The front porch is my favorite though. And you’ll find me out there every morning enjoying a cup of coffee to kick off the day, rain or shine.
Since I’m all about the front porch these days, we can’t overlook decorating it to make it feel warm, cozy, and welcoming.
I mean, after all, it is the entry to our home. So today, I’m sharing some front porch decorating ideas for summer.

I’ve been having a lot of fun decorating the front porch of our new home.
The porch swing was already here when we purchased our 1850 farmhouse and then I decorated the rest.
Since we are new to our home, the front porch is still a work in progress. So I’m always looking for inspiration on fresh, new ways to decorate.

As I’m learning how to decorate my porches, one thing is consistent…Potting up some pretty plants and flowers!
It is a must-do for any outdoor living space whether it is a porch, deck, or patio.
I’m a big fan of thrifting for the garden treasures and since we moved? We are hunting for bargains even more to decorate our new living spaces.
After the big move, we found an adorable vintage baby stroller at the thrift store that I flipped into a pretty front porch planter.
It was super easy to turn my thrift store find into a planter too.
And I love how it turned out too.
