Best Chiropractic Treatment in Langley

Chiropractic care is a type of complementary medicine that focuses on identifying and treating musculoskeletal conditions, especially those that affect the spine. To get the joints of the body back in alignment and moving freely, chiropractors use manual manipulation techniques, primarily spinal adjustments.

The foundation of chiropractic care is the idea that the spine, in particular, needs to be properly aligned in order for the body to function at its best and maintain overall health. It frequently deals with ailments like back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint pain, and other similar problems.

A chiropractor will review the patient’s medical history, conduct a physical examination, and, if necessary, order diagnostic tests like X-rays during a chiropractic treatment session. They will create a customized treatment plan in light of their findings.

Spinal manipulation or adjustment is the chiropractor’s main mode of treatment. This entails applying a controlled, abrupt force to certain spinal joints or other body parts. Enhancing joint function, lowering pain levels, and fostering healing are the objectives. In order to aid healing and enhance general well-being, chiropractors may also employ other manual therapies, such as soft tissue mobilization, stretching exercises, and lifestyle recommendations.

It’s crucial to remember that chiropractic care is not just for the spine. Additionally, chiropractors may offer care for the body’s other joints and muscles.

When administered by a qualified and licensed chiropractor, chiropractic treatment is generally regarded as safe. There could be risks and contraindications, just like with any medical procedure. To ensure safe and suitable care, it is essential to disclose to the chiropractor your entire medical history and any current conditions.

Despite the fact that many people who receive chiropractic care report positive results and pain relief, the scientific evidence for its effectiveness is mixed and depends on the particular condition being treated. Chiropractic treatment is regarded as complementary and alternative medicine, so it is important to have a thorough understanding of your medical requirements before beginning.

How is Chiropractic Care Applied?

Before chiropractic care, the patient is checked by the doctor. After this check in the chiropractic clinic, the treatment method is determined. This determination is based on the patient’s problems. Accordingly, according to the patient’s complaint, the following treatment methods are applied. Treatment with Chiropractor Dr. Parm Bisla involves spinal and soft tissue manipulation in an attempt to restore normal movement to the area. The goal of treatment is to provide proper alignment to the spine and the musculoskeletal system, which will promote healing throughout the whole body. A Doctor of Chiropractic Dr. Parm Bisla in Langley clinic uses a combination of the following techniques to restore function to an area.

Spinal Manipulation

A spinal adjustment is performed when an area of the spine is slightly misaligned and/or not performing its normal range of motion. An adjustment can be performed with a hand held device called the ArthroStim which will deliver light repetitive thrusts to restore the spinal alignment. The chiropractic spinal adjustment can also be delivered manually by hand, where a light pressure is applied to the spine and the impulse restores normal spinal motion. Restoring healthy movement to the spine is key in alleviating tension, irritation and pain to spinal regions.

Chiropractor spinal alignment: treatment is applied to the neck and back joints along the spine with the help of the hands.

Chiropractic adjustments: Accurate alignment of joints with various touches is ensured. A healthy life chiropractic for treatment is required.

VibraCussor

The VibraCussor is a hand-held vibration device that feels like a deep tissue massage, but penetrates deep within the bodily tissues. It helps loosen tissues such as the joints, muscles, fascia or the lining around the muscles. In addition, the device helps to reduce lymphatic pressure and scar tissue. This technology is much different from traditional massage. Massage uses side to side motions to address surface tension, while the VibraCussor uses an up and down pattern of movement that goes deep into the tissues, penetrating through the joints, muscles and fascia. This device loosens the tissue and allows for deeper blood flow into these regions.

ArthroStim

ArthroStim is a chiropractic tool that utilizes gentle, rapid, and low-force impulses to promote healing and reduce pain in the body. It is often used to treat conditions such as migraines, sciatica, and fibromyalgia. The handheld device is designed to stimulate nerve pathways and trigger the body’s natural healing mechanisms. The ArthroStim is particularly effective at targeting specific areas of the body, including the spine, hips, and shoulders. In addition to providing pain relief, ArthroStim therapy can improve range of motion, increase flexibility, and promote better posture. It is a non-invasive and safe treatment option that can be used in conjunction with other chiropractic techniques to provide a holistic approach to musculoskeletal care.

ART chiropractic

ART (Active Release Technique) chiropractic is a hands-on approach to treating musculoskeletal injuries that focuses on releasing scar tissue and adhesions in soft tissue. This method involves the use of specific movements and pressure to help improve range of motion, flexibility, and strength in affected areas. It is commonly used to treat conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and tennis elbow, among others. ART chiropractic is often preferred by patients because it is a non-invasive treatment that typically results in less downtime than surgical options. Additionally, the technique can be used in conjunction with other therapies, such as physical therapy and massage, to achieve optimal results.

Stretching Exercises

Stretching exercises are physical movements designed to lengthen muscles, tendons, and ligaments to improve flexibility, range of motion, and prevent injuries. These exercises can be performed by individuals of all fitness levels and can help alleviate muscle tension, soreness, and stiffness. Stretching can be done before and after exercise or as a standalone activity to improve overall mobility and prevent injuries.

    FAQs

Will one chiropractic adjustment enough? ›

Chiropractors provide all-around relief for people who are in pain or injured. However, a single session cannot comprise the full potential of the adjustment. That is why people keep asking why one session is not enough or why you must repeat it repeatedly.

Why do some people not trust chiropractors? ›

Some people believe chiropractic has little more than a placebo effect, while some randomized trials of spinal manipulation have supported its effectiveness for the treatment of (specifically) low back pain.

What is the toughest thing about being a chiropractor? ›

One of the major disadvantages of being a chiropractor is the heavy lifting involved with moving patients around. While you may think that chiropractic work is all about making people feel better, the reality of your job will be very physical.

How many chiropractic adjustments are recommended? ›

How often should you get adjusted by a chiropractor? A proper treatment plan will range from two times per week through only when needed. Acute pain treatment generally requires several appointments that start weekly.

Can chiropractic adjustments go wrong? ›

If you are a person who follows a healthy diet, gets adequate amounts of exercise and has a relatively stress-free life, then some chiropractors suggest a visit between once a month and semi-annually. This will allow your chiropractor to treat any emerging subluxations and get rid of them before they become a problem.

Why do doctors discourage chiropractors? ›

Historically, medical doctors and physical therapists did not refer patients to chiropractors because they did not understand the benefits of chiropractic care and they didn't want to risk losing patients.

What is the failure rate of chiropractor? ›

80% of chiropractic patients achieve 100% success, 10% achieve improvement, but not total relief, 10% of chiropractic cases will not have success at all. We call this the 80-10-10 rule. The 10% that do not have relief from the chiropractor usually have a condition that has reached limitation of matter.

What toxins are released after chiropractic adjustment? ›

During a chiropractic adjustment, lactic acid and other waste products that have accumulated in muscle tissue may be released into the bloodstream. Chiropractic sessions are brief compared to other healthcare treatments because a chiropractor only needs a few seconds to perform an alignment or manipulation. Even if your chiropractor adjusts multiple joints, the entire process won't take over 30 minutes.

Why do chiropractors make you keep coming back? ›

Changing your posture, changing your spine's ability to move, changing your muscle health and structure take time. Months in fact. All muscles have memory and your body wants to go back to its old patterns instead of creating new healthy ones. That is why adjustments need to be repeated again and again.
