While in New Orleans I searched for the best Shrimp & Grits.Daisy Dukes kept coming up at the top so I went.While it’s not printed on the menu I was assured they do have it.It came and I was immediately uninterested in eating it.The dish appeared like they just sauté the onions & peppers for omelettes and throw some shrimp in and pour over grits.It lacked flavor, absolutely nothing Cajun or NOLA about it.It was full of cheese and very disappointing.I had high expectations from the photos shown by other patrons well this is what mine looked like.Not an ugly plate but not tasty either.I would recommend you stick with the regular breakfast item and dont go here specifically for shrimp & grits.My server was excellent and she was quick and efficient.No wait, easy seating and turnover.It’s a cute spot for a quick filling breakfast.Just not shrimp & grits!
The alligator bites and jumbalya were my favorites. The brunch burger was huge and tasty.My wife really enjoyed the crab Benedict.
This is a small unassuming place that serves a really great breakfast.I must say, they served one of the best biscuits that I've had in a very long time.I would go there just to get a bag of biscuits, yes, they are that good! I also had the Greek omelette, hash browns and cheese grits.All we're delicious.
