Product: Elitebook 850
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Hello,
I see a SC slot on the left side of my Elitebook 850, and another slot on the rights side, which seems to have a thin metal card in it which won't move. Or maybe it's just a metal strip in the opening.
Is there an SD card slot in the Elitebook 850? Both slots look wider than my SD card.
Is it possible to use my SD card with my notebook?

The seller send me a photograph of the well hidden SD Card slot. It is on the right side below the metal frame in the black plastic. The cover is of the same black plastic. It opens by sliding it sideways. Glad to be able to see my photographs now.

Hello
You have a Smart Card reader on the left side of your notebook, this slot read cards like Visa cards.
In the left side you have a Memory Card Reader, that could have a fake card to protect the slot.
To remove this protection you must push to release it, the spring should eject asmall part to allow the removal.
Yes you could use your SD card in the right side.
Regards

Thank you.
I pushed against that thin edge in the middle of the slot as hard as I can with the nail of my thumb, but it doesn't move one bit.
I'll contact the seller of the notebook to make sure. I don't want to push it with a metal object like a small screwdriver. Unless he says I can.

I was glad I had found the SD card slot, and everyting worked fine. But now something changed: when I now insert the card it does not show up in "This PC" anymore. The Local Disk (C:) appears, and also external media via USB wehen plugged in, but no longer the SD card.
I wonder how to fix this...
PS:
After posting the above I see the C with : turned into a smliley.

Thanks for the tip on how to access the SD Card slot! I tried using and no luck -- seems like should come with drivers installed for hardware in the system ;( Regardless, I downloaded the Win 10 driver and still no joy. I made sure this laptop had an SD card reader when I bought it since I don't want to haul around an extra USB card reader. Thanks!
