*** Signup for my newsletter and receive a free copy of The Warren Omissions, the first book in my James Flynn thriller series, by visiting http://eepurl.com/bZwpdf *** THE FIRST SIGNS that I might like writing -- and that I might be slightly competitive -- appeared when my year two (or first grade) teacher, Mrs. Holland, asked my class to write and illustrate our day. Mine read like this: “The Red team beat the Blue team, 1 to nil. And I won.” The next 47 entries covered my exploits on the soccer pitch while growing up in Ipswich, England. In South Carolina as a teenager, my dad told me that I could get paid to watch sports provided I could write about it. Sounded easy enough and by the time I was 16, I landed a job at my town’s daily newspaper and had a column on Major League Baseball players from our area. I also covered my first riot there at a sporting event -- and it’s safe to say I was smitten with journalism. After graduating from one of the best journalism schools in the country, I took a job as a sports editor in South Georgia and learned firsthand about the passion of high school sports in rural America. I thought I knew before, but I didn’t. This was another world. I also had the opportunity to cover major sporting events like the Olympic Games, the World Series, the Super Bowl, and the Final Four. It was a thrill! But nothing was as thrilling to me as uncovering the truth in investigative assignments. I once broke a story about a prominent southern football team’s NCAA violation -- and found out the violating coach had committed suicide only a few months earlier. The story won a national writing award and stoked my desire to write about these issues. It made me realize that the sports world was just another fantastic backdrop for drama. After writing non-fiction books with athletes, for athletes, and ghost writing for many others, I decided to enter the world of fiction writing. It had been something I wanted to do but never found the time. So, I made the time--and had a blast in the process. I’m not out to become the next Faulkner or Hemingway -- I’m just out to tell a good story. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them!

A DEADLY FORCE. #18 Brady Hawk
..by.R.J.Patterson
Brady mission is about Littleton former engineer, with Colton Industry, taking valuable information with him, and intent to sell it to the Russians. Brady plans a mishap with him, and the CIA guy Carson was to get the information. Which bothered Brady for he delayed in getting it, he would rather have had his
wife Alex with him. As for Brady he’s not happy keeping secrets from Alex, of which Blunt insists on, also Blunt wants to get two jobs done at the same time. Hawk giving information to Blunt, on a weapons being sold, and to find that Samuel has been spying on Firestorm. Again Blunt tells Hawk to focuse on the mission.. No way was he going back to help Carson, he wanted to
know what Samuel was up.to. You can tell Brady is frustrated with having to
hold back, and wanting to do the job right. All ties in with Colton Industries
and new weapon designs. There are many twists, to this plot, that will keep you wanting answers to the very end. Who all are traitors, and did they get them all. Another winner for the author. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Who Do You Trust? Brady Hawk and the Phoenix team switch tracks from chasing Evana Bahar and her gang of al Fatihin terrorists to the rising danger of the mysterious Obsidian group which is planning coordinated terrorist strikes in multiple cities around the world. The traitorous General Fortner proves to be a wily foe who escapes every attempt to capture him. And the team is beginning to learn the identies of some of the major players in Obsidian, including some powerful political and business leaders, one of whom is a total surprise. The action is non-stop and there are surprises around every tun, including betrayals and secrets revealed. Patterson is at the top of his game with this one.

A Deadly Force R. J. Patterson Brady Hawk works for an organization in conjunction with POTUS . They perform services that are very clandestine in nature and generally not done by the CIA or other government agencies. A major threat is lurking but it is not a conventional terrorist organization. These people are employed by our government in highly respected positions. They are also backed by extremely wealthy people. They are willing to do extreme acts of terrorism to achieve their goals. This is an extremely fast paced read which I enjoyed immensely!

Brady Hawk and crew are at it again in an action thriller that is near impossible to put down. This installment included a few unforeseen twists that make this story excellent. R.J. Patterson has created a group of agents who are very believable, and each exhibit a few human failings. Hopefully the next Brady Hawk story is arriving in the near future. I received an advance reader copy and chose to provide this review.

Superb action Again Brady Hawke delivers. I have read aii 18 books in 18 days and can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed everyone single one. The one disappointment is that everyone read is one closer to the end.

good Patterson spins a great story. The books are a little short and don’t always start where the last one ended. Not a big deal though.
